black-tailed deer

They visit our yard almost daily, but it is surprisingly rare to see deer at the lake.  This one posed for a few minutes before bounding into the woods when a dog approached.

12 rocks, about 5 feet tall.  I hope it survives the weekend. UPDATE: Less than 24 hours later, it was gone… Interesting how different the scene looks with a mirror smooth lake reflecting the clouds and branches.
