60 Day Bird Challenge – Day 56

I’ve been watching the spotted sandpipers every day at the lake.  In their non-breeding plumage, they actually don’t have spots, but these small birds still blend well with the rocks at the water’s edge.  They move quickly along the shore foraging, and would  be difficult to spot except that they seem to call every time they take flight.
